Students occupied The Cabins from 2007-2017. Washington and Lee now requires all underclassmen except seniors to live on campus. This policy change prompted the decision to switch The Cabins from student rentals to  short-term rentals. The Millers had personally experienced the shortage of hotel rooms during “big” weekends of the VMI and WNL calendars. They enjoy all that the Lexington area has to offer and want to allow others to do so by offering convenient, comfortable cabins on a short term rental basis.

The Cabins have been named in honor of men who served our country as well as the Lexington area.  They easily could have walked this property.

About The Cabins

The Cabins at Lexington were built in 2006-2007 by George and Dana Miller to provide off-campus housing to upper classmen attending Washington and Lee University. At the time, George was the CEO of Southland Log Homes and their daughter, Hadley, was concerned about finding a convenient and safe place to live off campus. The 9-plus acres of woods provided the perfect setting for a log cabin or two. Demand was such that they decided to build five.
